Life in the country … gotta love it! We live down the road from a small cattle farm. Every once in a while, one of the cows decides the grass is greener on the other side of their pasture. When Kevin was on his way home the other day, this adventurous cow stared him down from the middle of the road and then begrudgingly moved to the side so he could pass. Gone Fishing

Today's weather made it a perfect fishing day ~ comfortable temps in the 70s with bright sunshine. Kevin and I headed out to nearby "Rainbow Lake" in Emmitsburg, Maryland to try our luck. The first cast he made, Kevin caught a small bass … but the first catch of the day was our last. I almost had a bite when a tiny fish nibbled at the bait, but today turned out to be more one to enjoy the luxurious, early fall weather and the beauty of the lake.

For Halloweening!!!

I keep this corner tree up all year. It morphs between a Christmas, Valentine, and Halloween tree. Special holidays always add a bit of sparkle to otherwise ordinary times of the year, and our little tree does its part to add brightness through the seasons!
