This weekend, about 30 inches of snow fell, more than I can ever remember accumulating in our area from one blizzard. Outside our windows is a winter wonderland, made sparkly today with the arrival of the sun. Throughout the storm, the animals hunkered down out of sight, aside from a herd of deer that braved the elements to feast on whatever they could find amongst the shrubbery before it got enveloped in white.
There was a flurry of activity today, as the snows stopped and the sun shone bright. Birds and squirrels rushed to and fro and ate their fill at our backyard feeders once again.
